Territories of Light brings together three original studies currently in development. The pieces are not yet available for sale, but they already reveal the materials, landscapes, and memories that will guide Design Lyra’s next creations.
Concept study — collection in development
Traces of Light
Planned materials
Opaque white porcelain, earth-red ceramic painting, and white cables.
Four pendant lights form a composition of rhythms and silhouettes. The two central pieces feature a double curve, while those at the ends have a single inflection. Across the white porcelain, graphics inspired by rock art records encircle each body like traces of an ancestral memory.
Paperclay, a light finish, and Caribbean-blue pigmentation.
A lightweight pendant lamp inspired by the shape of Northeastern Brazilian straw hats. Its irregular, undulating brim preserves the feeling of handcraft, while a blue line travels around the structure like a wave between wind, matter, and sea.
Reclaimed railway sleeper wood, copper sheet and tube, and a terracotta ceramic shade.
A wooden base marked by time meets the sheen of copper and the presence of terracotta. On each of its four faces, the square shade carries a visual narrative inspired by cordel woodcuts and the symbolic landscapes of Northeastern Brazil.
Each piece will still go through technical drawing, material studies, prototyping, light tests, and construction. Registering interest helps us understand which creations inspire the strongest connection before their definitive production.
